Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper Chad Turner was named 2025 Trooper of the Year by the Exchange Club of Jackson, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety said in a Facebook post Monday.
The department praised Turner for his “dedication, sacrifice, and commitment to going above and beyond each and every day,” saying it was proud to recognize his service and the impact he makes on communities across the state.
The Exchange Club of Jackson is a civic organization that honors community service and leadership; awards such as Trooper of the Year typically recognize law enforcement officers who demonstrate exceptional performance, community engagement and professionalism.
The Department of Public Safety also congratulated the other nominees from each troop and said their hard work does not go unnoticed. Details about the selection process and Turner’s service record were not provided.
