Mississippi auditor’s office urges graduates to adopt servant’s heart
The Mississippi Office of the State Auditor posted a message to recent graduates on social media Friday, urging them to approach work with humility and dedication.
In a Facebook reel, the office told graduates: “Remember to have a servant’s heart and never feel like any job is beneath you. Work hard in everything you do and do it really well.” The post added: “That’s the mindset we have here at the Mississippi Office of the State Auditor and it’s the mindset all public servants should share.”
The Office of the State Auditor oversees audits of state agencies and public funds and works to promote transparency and accountability in government. Leaders there said the mindset they described supports the office’s broader mission of public service and stewardship of taxpayer resources.
The guidance is aimed at graduates entering the workforce, particularly those who may pursue careers in government or nonprofit work where public trust matters. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
