Madison County sheriff seeks help identifying debit-card theft suspect

The Madison County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify a person shown in photos linked to a debit-card theft on May 25, 2026, officials said.

Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers posted the images on Facebook and said the unidentified suspect or suspects obtained a victim’s bank debit card through false pretense and used it to withdraw money from the victim’s account.

The withdrawal occurred in Byram near Terry Road and Siwell Road, according to the post. Authorities released photos that they say depict the person using the victim’s card at an automated teller or point-of-sale device.

Information that leads to an arrest could be eligible for a reward of up to $2,500. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477) or submit a tip online at https://www.p3tips.com/tipform.aspx?ID=116, the post said.

Central Mississippi Crime Stoppers is a community organization that works with local law enforcement to collect anonymous tips and offer rewards in criminal investigations. The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
