JPD is asking the public to help identify the person who burglarized the Hometown BBQ Restaurant in the 3100 block of Medgar Evers Blvd, the department said in a Facebook post.
The department did not provide further details about the incident in the post. Local businesses can suffer financial and operational setbacks after burglaries, and investigators often rely on community tips and surveillance footage to identify suspects and recover stolen property.
Law enforcement agencies commonly release images or video and request that anyone with information contact the department or submit anonymous tips to local tip lines or Crime Stoppers programs. Officials say public cooperation can speed investigations and reduce repeat incidents.
