Jackson police seek public help locating 53-year-old Lyniece Harris

The Jackson Police Department and the family of 53-year-old Lyniece Harris are asking the public for help locating her, officials said in a Facebook post. Harris was last seen June 14 in the 1800 block of Cleveland Avenue in Jackson.

Anyone with information about Harris’ whereabouts is asked to contact the Jackson Police Department at 601-960-1800 or 601-720-7588, the post said.

The Jackson Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for the city of Jackson and routinely asks for public assistance in missing-person cases. Tips from residents can generate leads, narrow searches and speed investigations when someone is reported missing.

The request from Harris’ family underscores the role of community help in locating missing people. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
