Jackson police seek 33-year-old Carl Williams

The Jackson Police Department said on its Facebook page that it is attempting to locate 33-year-old Carl Williams and directed readers to additional information posted with the message.

The department did not include further details in the brief post and did not indicate whether Williams is a missing person, a subject of an investigation or wanted for questioning. The Facebook post provided the notice without accompanying narrative or a date for when Williams was last seen.

The Jackson Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency responsible for public safety, investigations and community outreach in its jurisdiction. Police agencies commonly ask the public for assistance locating individuals for reasons that include welfare checks, active investigations and missing-person reports.

Officials typically ask anyone with information to contact the police department through its nonemergency contact channels or to call 911 if there is an immediate emergency. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
