Jackson Police honors Sergeant Cedric Myles on retirement
The Jackson Police Department congratulated Sergeant Cedric Myles on his retirement after 31 years of service, the department said in a Facebook post.
According to the post, Myles is a graduate of the 21st JPD Academy recruit class, which completed training in February 1995. Over three decades, he served in multiple roles within the department.
The post lists his assignments as patrol officer, task force agent with the U.S. Marshals, warrants, and supervisor of vice and narcotics. It says his most recent assignment was Precinct 2 patrol supervisor.
The department said Myles’ institutional knowledge and unwavering commitment to law enforcement will be deeply missed. Long-serving officers often provide continuity, mentoring and experience that affect department operations and community policing. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
