HCSO identifies two 16-year-olds found fatally shot on S. Springdale Rd.

Hinds County Sheriff’s Office said Monday it has identified the two teenagers found dead on the side of a roadway in Jackson as 16-year-old Terry Burrell Jr. and 16-year-old Khloe Hudson.

The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office, in a Facebook post, said both victims sustained multiple gunshot wounds and were discovered at about noon by sanitation workers in the 1700 block of S. Springdale Road. Both had been reported missing within the previous 24 hours to the Jackson Police Department, the post said.

The Hinds County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is leading the double-homicide investigation and is asking anyone with information to call the agency at 601-352-1521 or Crimestoppers at 601-355-TIPS (8477). HCSO routinely works with municipal police on investigations that cross jurisdictions.

The deaths raise concerns about youth violence and public safety in the Jackson area. Authorities have not released information about a motive or any suspects. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
