Harrison County sheriff asks public to identify person in theft video

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify an individual shown in a video after several items were stolen early April 8, 2026, including a firearm, the agency said.

Investigators said the incident occurred between 12:30 a.m. and 2 a.m. in the Landon Green and Landry Trace areas. The sheriff’s office posted the video on its Facebook page and asked anyone who recognizes the person or has information to come forward.

Authorities said tips can be submitted through Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by calling Crime Stoppers. The sheriff’s office said information must be submitted through Crime Stoppers to be eligible for a reward.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Office is the primary law enforcement agency for the county and investigates reported thefts, burglaries and other crimes. Stolen firearms and other property can pose a public safety risk and investigators often rely on community tips and video evidence to identify suspects and recover items.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers through the methods noted by the sheriff’s office. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
