Gulfport police seek man wanted on counterfeit instrument charge
GULFPORT, Mississippi — Gulfport police are asking the public to help locate Michael Dewayne Riley, 37, who is wanted on a felony charge of uttering a counterfeit instrument or coin, Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers said Wednesday. Riley’s last known address was in the Pass Christian area, the agency said.
Officials said anyone with information about Riley’s whereabouts should contact Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers by downloading the P3 Tips app or by calling TIPS. To qualify for a possible reward, tips must be submitted directly through Crime Stoppers, the agency said.
The Gulfport Police Department is the primary law enforcement agency for Gulfport, a city on Mississippi’s Gulf Coast, and often works with Crime Stoppers to solicit anonymous public tips that can advance investigations. Crime Stoppers programs are community-based efforts that encourage residents to report crimes while protecting tipster anonymity.
All suspects are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
