Governor, First Lady welcome Mississippi Highway Patrol cadets
The governor of Mississippi and First Lady Elee Reeves welcomed Mississippi Highway Patrol Cadet Class 70 to the Governor’s Mansion to celebrate the cadets’ upcoming graduation, the governor said in a Facebook post.
The visit recognizes cadets nearing completion of training to become troopers with the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the state law enforcement agency that enforces traffic laws, responds to highway crashes and assists local agencies.
Cadet graduations mark a transition from academy training to active duty and are a focal point for recruiting and retaining officers who will patrol state highways and support public safety across Mississippi. Officials often use such events to thank trainees for their commitment to protect and serve.
Details about the graduation date and ceremony were not provided in the post. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
