Forrest County student wins Draw Your HeART contest; design to appear statewide
Ayden T., a student at Forrest County Agricultural High School, won the “Draw Your HeART” campaign run by the Mississippi Department of Public Safety’s Driver Service Bureau and the Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency, the department said in a Facebook post.
The post said Ayden’s design will be featured on shirts and displayed in Driver Service stations across the state. The announcement appeared on the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (Official) Facebook page and included recognition from Donate Life Mississippi.
The Drive Service Bureau oversees the state’s driver licensing offices, where display of the winning artwork could reach many residents while they conduct business. The Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency is the state’s organ procurement organization; Donate Life Mississippi works to promote organ and tissue donation. Organ donation campaigns often use public outreach and visible materials to encourage donor registration.
The contest highlights collaboration between state agencies and nonprofit partners to engage young people in public health messaging. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
