Corinth police join 45th Coca-Cola Classic 10K

The Corinth Police Department and Police Chief Landon Tucker participated in the 45th Coca-Cola Classic 10K this past Saturday in downtown Corinth, the department said in a Facebook post.

The department said it was proud to take part and honored to support an event that benefits local health, fitness and community initiatives, including the Kids Get-Fit Initiative, Magnolia Regional Health Center and the Corinth Coke Museum.

Local law enforcement participation in community events is a common element of community policing, giving residents opportunities to meet officers outside of enforcement activities and helping build public trust, experts say.

The Coca-Cola Classic 10K is a long-running race in downtown Corinth that brings together runners, volunteers and local organizations to raise awareness and support for area programs. The department said its involvement also helps strengthen connections with the community it serves.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
