Connect Church brings donuts to officers, dispatchers
Connect Church stopped by a local law enforcement agency this morning with donuts for officers and dispatchers, a Facebook post said.
The post thanked the church for its visit and generosity, saying, “We greatly appreciate your generosity and the prayer of safety and protection over our first responders.”
Connect Church is a faith congregation that, like many houses of worship, engages in community outreach and support for public servants. Acts such as providing food and offering prayers are common ways community groups show appreciation for people who work irregular hours to protect public safety.
Officials say such gestures can boost morale among officers and emergency dispatchers and help strengthen ties between first responders and the communities they serve. Public expressions of support also acknowledge the risks and stresses associated with emergency response work.
Details about the visit, including the specific agency involved and the number of church members who participated, were not provided. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
