City Hall parking lot closes overnight
A Facebook post said the parking lot behind City Hall will close at midnight tonight and remain closed until approximately 11 a.m. Saturday. The notice asks drivers to make alternate parking arrangements and warns that vehicles left in the lot during the closure may be towed.
City halls typically house municipal offices where residents access services such as permit applications, utility payments and public meetings. The closure may affect employees, visitors and people planning to attend scheduled municipal business at the building.
Officials did not provide a reason for the closure in the post. Residents and visitors are advised to use other municipal lots, on-street parking or public transportation where available and to allow extra time if they plan to visit City Hall during the affected period. Towing enforcement is commonly used to clear lots during planned closures.
