Chief Brackney thanks participants at Peggy Hobson-Calhoun listening tour

Chief Brackney thanked residents who attended a Listening Tour at the Peggy Hobson-Calhoun Community Center last night, saying in a Facebook post that participants’ voices matter.

In the post, Chief Brackney wrote, “Your voice matters!” and expressed appreciation for those who came out to engage. The Facebook reel announcing the thanks did not provide additional details about specific issues discussed or next steps.

Listening tours are public engagement events leaders use to hear community concerns, gather feedback and build relationships with residents. Such sessions often allow officials to learn directly from constituents about neighborhood priorities, public safety, services and other local needs.

The Peggy Hobson-Calhoun Community Center, named for a local civic figure, serves as a neighborhood gathering place for meetings, recreation and community programs. Officials often choose community centers for outreach because they are accessible and familiar to residents.

We will provide more information as it becomes available.
