Biloxi police welcome officers after academy graduation

BILOXI, Miss. — The Biloxi Police Department on Thursday congratulated Officers Lampman and Williams and the rest of Class 2026-2 on graduating from the Harrison County Law Enforcement Training Academy, the department said in a Facebook post.

The department said the recruits completed a 10-week training program. The academy provides basic training and certification for new officers who will join law enforcement agencies across Harrison County and surrounding jurisdictions.

Law enforcement academies typically cover state law, firearms instruction, defensive tactics, emergency vehicle operations and community policing principles, providing a foundation for officers entering field service. The Biloxi Police Department said it looks forward to seeing the training, discipline and professionalism developed during the course put into practice for the city’s residents.

Biloxi is a coastal city on the Gulf of Mexico, and officials have emphasized the importance of trained officers in maintaining public safety and community trust. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
