Biloxi police warn of traffic, parking rules for Scrapin’ the Coast 2026

Biloxi police are reminding participants, spectators and residents that Scrapin’ the Coast 2026 will take place June 26–28 and motorists should expect increased traffic congestion and delays throughout the city, particularly along U.S. Highway 90, the department said on its Facebook page.

Drivers are encouraged to plan accordingly, allow extra travel time and exercise patience while traveling through Biloxi. The Biloxi Police Department said visitors and residents must comply with all traffic and parking regulations and park only in designated areas during authorized hours.

Vehicles found in violation of parking rules may be cited and towed, the department said. Officials also warned that no pop-up events are authorized within the city during the Scrapin’ the Coast weekend and that unauthorized gatherings may prompt enforcement action by law enforcement.

The department noted this is the second Scrapin’ the Coast since Mississippi enacted its squatted vehicle law. Under Mississippi Code Section 63-7-105, a “squatted vehicle” is defined as a vehicle whose front fenders are raised four or more inches higher than the rear fenders; operators of vehicles found in violation will be cited.

Biloxi police said they appreciate the cooperation of attendees, residents and visitors and urged everyone to enjoy the shows and events safely.
