Mississippi launches webinar on rural health grants
Mississippi is offering a June 1 webinar to outline the first three grant opportunities approved by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services through the state’s Rural Health Transformation Program, organizers say. More than 2,000 people have registered to receive information and updates at MississippiRHTP.com.
The initial grant rounds will fund projects focused on addressing rural health care gaps through capital investments, expanding telehealth access and capabilities, and strengthening health care technology and infrastructure, the program’s materials state.
Beginning June 1, the state will publish details on eligibility, funding priorities and application requirements. Applications will open June 15 and close July 15. Officials say applications will be reviewed through the end of July, with awards released in August.
The program aims to help rural communities expand access to care and modernize facilities and technology. Visit MississippiRHTP.com to register for the June 1 webinar and to receive program updates. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
