Mississippi initiative targets 80% colorectal cancer screening by 2030

A new statewide initiative aims to have 80% of eligible Mississippians screened for colorectal cancer by 2030, as Mississippi faces one of the nation’s highest colorectal cancer rates.

Colorectal cancer can often be detected early through screening and, in some cases, prevented. The initiative says expanding screening options could help save lives.
