Students, faculty and staff at Blue Mountain Christian University came together this week to celebrate the birthday of university President Dr. Mc, according to a university post.
The post described Dr. Mc as a friend and visionary who leads with compassion, saying her leadership affects people across the campus. It also expressed the university community’s appreciation and affection for her.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
