The School of Health Related Professions at the University of Mississippi Medical Center is celebrating alumni who “lead with heart, experience and dedication,” the university said, naming Dr. Lee Brown its Alumnus of the Year and Dr. Chelsey Stephens the recipient of the Early Career Achievement Award for 2026.
The announcements were made in a university Facebook post that linked to a news item about the awards. The recognition highlights the contributions of former students who continue to advance clinical care and education after graduation.
The School of Health Related Professions trains allied health professionals for careers in clinical practice, research and teaching. Alumni awards underscore the school’s role in preparing clinicians who work directly with patients and who often take on teaching responsibilities in hospitals, clinics and academic settings.
