The PROPEL Community Fund has awarded Brooke Roberts of Thrasher High School a tuition scholarship to attend Northeast Mississippi Community College, according to the scholarship announcement.

The fund described the scholarship as an investment in Roberts’ future and in the future of Prentiss County, in addition to assistance with college costs.

The announcement said local leaders use the PROPEL Community Fund to create opportunities intended to improve the quality of life in the community. Supporting students such as Roberts is identified as one way the fund seeks to help talented young people pursue their education and reach their goals.
