Mississippi Department of Public Safety wins 2026 MAPE Governor’s Award with Alcorn School District

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety announced it has been recognized as a recipient of the 2026 Mississippi Association of Partners in Education Governor’s Award in partnership with the Alcorn School District, the agency said in a Facebook post.

The department said it is honored by the recognition and emphasized that strong partnerships with schools and communities help create opportunities for Mississippi students to learn, grow and succeed.

The Mississippi Department of Public Safety is the state agency charged with public safety and law enforcement functions across Mississippi, and Alcorn School District is a public school district in the state. The Mississippi Association of Partners in Education, known as MAPE, promotes collaboration between schools and community organizations to support student achievement and community engagement.

The department thanked Alcorn School District for the recognition and said it looks forward to continuing the partnership. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
