Copiah-Lincoln Community College offers class amid EMT shortage
Copiah-Lincoln Community College is offering an emergency medical technician class as communities face a shortage of EMT personnel, according to a message attributed to Chief Denis J. Borges of the Magee Police Department.
The message encourages people interested in serving others during emergencies to consider the class and enter the public safety profession. It describes EMTs as providing lifesaving care, helping patients breathe, supporting their hearts and giving them a better chance of reaching the next level of care and returning to their loved ones.
