Aberdeen student highlighted during National Surgical Technologists Week

Kimberly Straughter of Aberdeen is in her final semester of the Surgical Technology Program at Northwest Mississippi Community College’s Oxford Campus, the college said during National Surgical Technologists Week.

Before graduation, students complete classroom and lab instruction as well as extensive clinical training across a wide range of surgical specialties while preparing to enter the profession. The college said the week’s spotlight recognized Straughter, its surgical technology students and professionals who serve as essential members of operating room teams and play a vital role in patient care.
