Tupelo man charged with aggravated assault after reported stabbing
Tupelo police arrested Wiltavion L. Finley, 25, of Tupelo, after a person reported being stabbed while standing in line at Blue-Sky, according to the Tupelo Police Department.
Officers responded to the North Mississippi Medical Center Emergency Room on South Gloster Street regarding an assault. The victim told officers they had been stabbed at 4004 West Main Street. Officers went to the reported crime scene, gathered evidence and obtained a suspect description before locating and taking the suspect into custody, police said.
After further investigation, Finley was charged with one count of aggravated assault. Tupelo Municipal Court Judge Weir ordered him held without bond.
The charges will be presented to the Lee County Grand Jury.
