Mississippi regional correctional facilities recognized for ACA reaccreditation

Several Mississippi regional correctional facilities were recognized for completing American Correctional Association reaccreditation during a gathering of leaders from the 15 regional facilities at the Mississippi Department of Corrections’ main office. Facility representatives received Commissioner’s Coins and plaques from the department for the achievement and commitment to professional correctional standards.

Brandon Smith, warden of Carroll County Regional Correctional Facility, was recognized for meeting 100 percent of each mandatory and non-mandatory standard in December 2025. Jacqueline Morton, warden of Yazoo County Regional Correctional Facility, received recognition for the same results in May 2025.

Barry Rule, warden of Holmes-Humphreys County Regional Correctional Facility, was recognized for meeting 100 percent of mandatory standards and 99 percent of non-mandatory standards in December 2025. Johnnie Denmark, warden of George County Regional Correctional Facility, was recognized for meeting 100 percent in both categories during the facility’s ACA audit in November 2025.

John Lilley, warden of Winston-Choctaw County Regional Correctional Facility, and Deputy Warden Anthony McIntosh were recognized for meeting 100 percent of mandatory and non-mandatory standards in October 2025. Henry Felton, warden of Jefferson-Franklin Regional Correctional Facility, accompanied by Deputy Warden Cassandra Robinson, was recognized for meeting 100 percent of mandatory standards and 99.7 percent of non-mandatory standards in September 2025.
