Authorities search for parolee after escape from Madison County work center

The Mississippi Department of Corrections and other authorities are searching for Branden Young after officials said he escaped Sunday morning from the Madison County Community Work Center.

Young, 38, identified as MDOC No. 142668, is on parole for felony DUI. He was assigned earlier this month to the technical violation center at the work center for violating his parole terms, according to the department.

Officials said Young fled the technical violation center wearing a white T-shirt and orange shorts and ran toward Highway 51. He now faces an escape charge, the department said.
