The Washington County Economic Alliance praised Tonia Sims-Bush for bringing what it called “Slow Southern Style” to a vision completed along the Great River Road.
The post expressed gratitude to Sims-Bush for working with the organization on the project. It also listed the Mississippi Development Authority, Visit Mississippi, the City of Greenville, the Greenville-Washington County Mississippi Convention & Visitors Bureau, Entergy Mississippi, the Mississippi Arts Commission, the Foundation for the Mid South and Rural LISC.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
