The Oxford Police Department reminded visitors that open containers of alcohol are not allowed outside bars and restaurants. The department also advised people not to drink and drive and to plan ahead by using rideshare services if needed.
People needing help or with questions can visit the Safe Site Tent on the Square, across from 11th Street Alley and Funkys. Police said anyone who sees something concerning should report it or call 9-1-1. For non-emergencies, the department listed (662) 232-2400.
