Starkville police issue postgame traffic advisory

The Starkville Police Department is advising motorists to prepare for postgame traffic in the Starkville area after the football game this weekend.

Police said traffic will take time to clear after the event and that the traffic flow will begin at the end of the game and continue until the area is sufficiently clear of heavy traffic. Typical alternate routes used to avoid traffic during the day will be closed so traffic can use major thoroughfares.
