The Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department, Cleveland Park Commission, Delta State University Athletics and members of the Cleveland community gathered at the DSU Football Field for Cleveland’s third annual Partnership Stair Climb.
The event honored those who died and those who responded on 9/11. Organizers described it as a time to remember and honor heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice.
Jon Ross Myers founded Mississippi News Group in 2013. Before founding the organization, he worked at The Daily Mississippian, The Marion Salute and The Southern Sentinel. A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
