Mississippi Department of Public Safety troopers visited schools across the state to spend time with students, answer questions and share information about what it means to serve Mississippi, the department said.
The department said the school visits are intended to build trust, strengthen connections and give troopers opportunities to engage with young people in the communities they serve. It also thanked educators and schools for welcoming troopers into their classrooms.
