Derrick McKey charity golf tournament draws turnout despite rain

The 3rd Annual Derrick McKey Charity Golf Tournament was held at Lakeview Golf Course, where rain did not prevent a strong turnout, according to a post by the City of Meridian-Government.

The post credited Derrick McKey, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who participated in making the event a success. It also said the turnout reflected the support of people in Meridian, Mississippi, for opportunities to give back.

“Seeing this many people come out, even with the rain, means a lot to me. This tournament has always been about bringing people together to help others. Thank you to every player, sponsor and volunteer for believing in this mission and making another year a success.” McKey said.
