Sheriff Jim H. Johnson participated in NMLETC’s 9/11 Stair Climb with Class B-83, saying the event was held to remember and honor those who lost their lives 25 years ago. The participation took place in the morning, according to a post from the Lee County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi.

A Mississippi journalist and writer based in Ripley, he received second place in poetry in the 2025 William Faulkner Literary Competition for "The Garden."
