City of Oxford honors workers in Labor Day message

The City of Oxford marked Labor Day by honoring the strength, dedication and contributions of workers across the community.

A post from the city highlighted photos of Oxford residents working and praised their spirit, toughness and work ethic. It recognized people working behind the scenes to keep the city running, as well as those on the front lines who build, maintain and sustain the community.

The city thanked its employees and everyone in Oxford who works long hours, shows up during difficult times and helps keep operations moving, calling their grit the foundation of the city.
