Lauderdale County sheriff’s office shares Labor Day message
The Lauderdale County Sheriff's Office wished residents a safe Labor Day celebration and highlighted the holiday’s history in a message to the county.
The office said Labor Day memorializes “the men and women who represent the American Worker in achieving modern working rights, workers unions, safer working conditions, and federal recognition for the every day laborer.” It also said it hoped the holiday’s message and history would be with families as they celebrated.
The message thanked “the American Worker” for what they do, saying, “you keep this country running.” It ended with a reminder that people should call 911 in an emergency.
