Tornado Watch Issued for Central Mississippi Through Early Friday

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of Mississippi, effective from 7:46 p.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Thursday.

The watch includes 23 counties in central, east-central, southeast, southwest, and west-central Mississippi. Areas under the alert include Rankin County and cities such as Jackson, Hattiesburg, Natchez, Vicksburg, and Laurel.

Residents in these areas are advised to stay alert for severe weather and monitor updates from local authorities.
