Dangerous heat, severe storm risk forecast across Mid-South
Dangerous heat is expected across most of the Mid-South this afternoon, with heat index values rising above 105 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis, Tennessee.
The region also faces a marginal risk for severe thunderstorms late Thursday afternoon and evening. Damaging winds are the primary threat.
