Scott County Sheriff’s Office thanks donor for equipment
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday thanked Jake Wall and the Farm Bureau for a generous donation toward equipment to help the department serve and protect residents, the office said. The message was signed by Sheriff Mike Lee; Chief Deputy Brad Ellis; and Joshua Thames, the office’s public information officer.
County sheriff’s offices are typically responsible for law enforcement in unincorporated areas, operating patrols, investigations and detention facilities and supporting local public safety efforts. Donations of equipment can help supplement budgets and provide tools that improve officers’ ability to respond to emergencies and routine calls for service.
The Farm Bureau is a national network of state and local organizations that represents agricultural producers and often participates in community and charitable activities. Local partnerships between law enforcement and community organizations can strengthen public safety and foster trust between residents and officials.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office said it appreciates the support and partnership. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
