Mississippi State women’s golf returns to Mason Rudolph Championship

Mississippi State women’s golf is scheduled to continue the 2026-27 season Friday at the Mason Rudolph Championship at Vanderbilt Legends Club in Franklin, Tennessee.

The Bulldogs are competing in the event for the third consecutive season. Mississippi State won the team title in 2022 and has had the individual top finisher each of the past two years.

Seniors Avery Weed and Samantha Whateley will again lead the lineup. Whateley won her first career individual championship at the event last year, while Weed won the tournament in 2024.

Sophomore Moa Stridh will occupy the third spot. She recently finished tied for 25th at the Boilermaker Classic, placed tied for 49th at the Mason Rudolph Championship last year and recorded her best finish of last season, a tie for 10th, at the UCF Challenge.

Junior Alona Avery will make her first appearance for Mississippi State after transferring from UC Irvine, where she spent her first two collegiate seasons. Avery finished in the top 25 in six consecutive tournaments to begin her career and closed last season with five straight top-25 finishes.

Sophomore Alicia Bellindir rounds out the lineup after finishing tied for 11th in her first appearance for the Bulldogs at the Boilermaker Classic.
