Mississippi High School Sports lists 25 teams in statewide rankings

Mississippi High School Sports listed 25 teams in its latest statewide rankings, with Tupelo ranked No. 1 at 4-0. Starkville was No. 2 at 4-0, followed by Brookhaven and Warren Central, also both 4-0.

Oak Grove was ranked fifth at 2-1, while Petal was sixth at 4-0. Gulfport was seventh at 2-1, followed by Oxford at 3-1 and Brandon at 3-1.

Jackson Academy, ranked No. 10, was the only team in the list with a 5-0 record. Madison-Ridgeland Academy was No. 11 at 4-1, followed by Louisville at 2-2 and Lake Cormorant at 4-0.

Madison Central was ranked 14th at 2-2, with D'Iberville 15th at 4-0. Hattiesburg was 16th at 2-2, Poplarville 17th at 4-0, Germantown 18th at 2-2, and Kosciusko 19th at 4-0.

The final six teams were Grenada at No. 20 with a 3-0 record, St. Martin at No. 21 with a 4-0 record, Jackson Prep at No. 22 with a 4-1 record, Noxubee County at No. 23 with a 4-0 record, Leake at No. 24 with a 4-0 record and Winona at No. 25 with a 4-0 record.
