Millsaps College has accepted the resignation of men's and women's golf head coach Michael Fluty, Director of Athletics Justin LeBlanc said. Fluty began coaching both programs during the 2021-22 seasons.
During Fluty's tenure, the women's program produced its first-ever Southern Athletic Association first-place finisher at the 2025 conference championship. Annie Piggott won the SAA Tournament Medalist title with her first-place finish.

On the men's side, Preston Severs placed third at the 2024 SAA Men's Golf Championship.
“We are greatly appreciative of Michael's work to guide and grow our Millsaps men's and women's golf programs over the previous five seasons,” LeBlanc said. “He brought our women's program to new heights with the program's first-ever SAA first-place finisher at the 2025 conference championship. His energy and efforts overseeing our programs will be greatly missed.”
Millsaps said a national search for Fluty's replacement will begin immediately. The college is located in Jackson, Mississippi.
