Delta State heads to Central Missouri seeking first win of season

Delta State will travel to Warrensburg, Missouri, to face Central Missouri at Walton Stadium/Kennedy Field. The Statesmen enter the matchup 0-2 after a 36-13 loss to Wingate in their home opener, while Central Missouri is coming off a 49-10 victory over Missouri Western, its first win of the season.

The pregame show is scheduled for 6 p.m. Central time, with kickoff set for 7 p.m. The game will be carried on the Statesmen Sports Radio Network and Radio Cleveland Majic 107.5 WMJW, with Michael Gross handling the call. It will also be televised on pay-per-view through the MIAA Digital Network.

The game will be David Dean’s 177th as a head coach. Dean is in his first season at Delta State and was hired as the program’s 20th all-time head coach on Feb. 6, 2026.

Delta State defeated Central Missouri 31-23 to open the 2025 season. The victory was the Statesmen’s most recent meeting with the Mules and came in Delta State’s first season-opening matchup against Central Missouri.
