Mississippi Valley State University freshman Colton Harris has been named the Southwestern Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Newcomer of the Week after his performance at the Legacy Series Invite.
Harris, a Waynesboro, Mississippi, native, finished 21st overall in 20:48.7 and helped the Delta Devils place fourth as a team. The honor is Harris’ first weekly conference recognition of the season.

Harris is scheduled to compete next at the Belhaven Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 3, in Clinton, Mississippi.
