Barnhardt earns SSAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week honors
Blue Mountain Christian junior Jonah Barnhardt was named the Southern States Athletic Conference Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week after finishing seventh at the Harding Invitational. He completed the four-mile course in 21:17.60.
Barnhardt entered the season after earning First Team All-SSAC honors during a breakout sophomore campaign. His finish at Harding added another top-10 result to his recent performances for the Topper men's cross country program.
"Jonah has really grown as a runner over the last year, and I think we're continuing to see that development," BMCU head coach Phillip Laney said. "He competes every time he steps on the course, and he has set some high expectations for himself this season. I'm proud of the way he has started his junior year."
