Reeves touts economic development momentum in Mississippi

Gov. Tate Reeves said on his Facebook page that “It was another great week for economic development in Mississippi. And were not slowing down.”

Reeves, a Republican who leads the state executive branch, frequently highlights business investments and job announcements as part of his administrations economic agenda. Governors often use social media to communicate developments to constituents and to promote efforts to attract companies and expand employment opportunities.

Economic development matters to Mississippi residents because new investments can affect job creation, local tax revenues and the strength of supply chains that support industries across the state. State officials, economic development agencies and chambers of commerce typically collaborate to recruit projects and support workforce initiatives.
