Organization closes offices May 25 to honor fallen service members
An organization announced in a Facebook post that its administrative offices will be closed on May 25 and urged people to “remember and honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice,” the post said.
The post added that if anyone has an emergency they should call 911. It made no further operational announcements or contact details.
The closure and message align with Memorial Day observances, which take place on the last Monday in May and honor members of the U.S. military who died while serving. Federal, state and many local offices often close on that day, and communities hold ceremonies and flag-lowering protocols to mark the holiday.
The notice serves as a reminder that services and offices may be limited on the holiday and that residents should plan accordingly. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
