Officers attend Law Enforcement Command College in Oxford

Captain Pressgrove and Lieutenant Bramlett attended the Law Enforcement Command College in Oxford, Mississippi this week, a Facebook post said. The post said the training was an intensive one-week supervisor course focused on instruction for law enforcement command leadership.

The Facebook post thanked the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police and the Department of Justice for hosting the annual course. It did not specify which agency the officers represent.

The Law Enforcement Command College provides advanced instruction intended to prepare supervisors and senior officers for the responsibilities of command, including decision-making, oversight and coordination during complex incidents. Professional training of this kind is a common element of modern policing as departments seek to strengthen leadership, accountability and community relations.

Attendance at such courses can help agencies maintain readiness and adapt to evolving public safety challenges. We will provide more information as it becomes available.
